Phew. Just cleared this, shoveled out about 30’ of sidewalk and curbside parking (car is on the sidewalk in the hopes that the plow would clear the parking spots… They did about half of it, so at least I had less to shovel).
Now I’m beat, time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and kick back awhile…
And the snow continues, not supposed to stop until tomorrow morning.

I got ambitious tonight and tossed up a post over on my gaming clan’s forum about my webcomic reading list. Lots of typing later I realized it really ought to be a blog post. My reading list, complete with µreviews. Don’t take any of the negatives too poorly - this is my reading list, so I obviously like all of these things. Just calling a few shortcomings as I see them. Alphabetical out of my Google Reader, until I get to GWS & Dr McNinja, because they don’t have RSS feeds and I remembered them afterwards.
A Girl and Her Fed
Early art style was rough, but she’s steadily redoing the early stuff. Very ambitious storyline, good art (after the redesign). Funny. I don’t think she’s a full time artist, which makes this one of the most dedicated ones (late update means a few hours, unlike some who miss for weeks)
Aardehn
NSWF / Adult — Gorgeous style, interesting story, but very slow so far - irregular updates.
Butternutsquash
Funny, but also slow.. No regular updates.
Escape From Terra
Took awhile for this to grow on me, but I enjoy it. If the politics (libertarian, but very level headed) don’t offend you check out Roswell, TX and The Probability Broach from the same artist/author.
Heroes, Inc
Irregular updates, hasn’t been inked or colored lately - might need to take a break while the artist catches up. Good story though.
HijiNKS Ensue
The source of the only Team Edward shirt anyone could ever need!
Johnny Saturn
Just awesome. Reading this makes me think I should read actual superhero comics, though it’s evidently darker, more Watchmen style
Kukuburi
Just frelling gorgeous, but irregular updates. Makes me sad that I can’t read more of it.
Last Blood
Very good, and the first ...

Well, if I spent half as much time writing as I do coding and tinkering, this would be a novel by now. Oh well, I do what I enjoy.
New Stuff
- Put in a flash image rotator for the header. I was really fine with the “load one image per page view” scheme, but I want to use the flash rotator on my gaming clan site, so this was a good place to test it out. Without Flash player it should default back to a random image. And yes, all pics are mine. Most were a single outing — haven’t shot nearly as much as I wish — with the exception of the Moon / Venus pic.
- Random quotes. Couldn’t help it - wanted something to chuckle at now and then.
- Disqus. Saw it around on a few blogs, notably AndyC’s Blog in Isolation which I noticed when he dropped by to welcome me to Habari. I hear spam is a bit of a problem, but there’s no harm in giving it a shot I think. We’ll see how this goes.

Curbside parking is free-for-all, except
when snow has accumulated. Until said
snow has melted, the shoveler of curb-
side parking has a valid claim to said
parking (Otherwise know as “Dibs!”)
